Food, Drink and Entertainments

Wine Reception (Saturday 5th March 6pm – 8pm)

The Wine and Beer Reception will take place at the Attenborough Arts Centre (labelled ‘Embrace Arts’ on the campus map). The venue is just around the corner from the Archaeology Department and we will be leading attendees across at the close of the final afternoon session on the Saturday.

The reception is being kindly and generously sponsored by SCCS to whom we would like to extend our warmest thanks. Running alongside the reception will be a completely hands-on exhibit of retro games consoles, put on by our colleagues at the Retro Computer Museum – have fun!

Evening Meal (Saturday 5th March 8pm)

We have arranged a discounted menu with Crafty Burger – a hipster burger joint in the city centre that caters for meaties and veggies alike. If you have registered for the conference we will be in touch thorough a Doodle Survey to find out whether you would like to come along and if so, what your menu preference will be. For those joining us for the meal the plan will be to leave the reception as a group at around 7.35pm to walk into town. If you would prefer to roam and/or forage for yourselves, Leicester is not short of bars and restaurants.

Tea, Coffee and Biscuits

Hot and cold drinks, along with piles of biscuits will be freely available in the foyer of the Archaeology Department during tea breaks. Please help yourselves.

Lunches

Your registration includes £5 lunch vouchers for each of the conference days that can be re-deemed in the University’s David Wilson Library Café. Once again, if you would rather roam and/or forage for yourselves, there are a range of cafes, restaurants and bars on Queens Road, a short walk from the University across Victoria Park.
